Inspired by the Korean myth of Oong-nyeo.  Oongnyeo is a bear who became a woman through perseverance and persistence. The bear desired to be human and was given a challenge -- to go into a cave and eat nothing but garlic and onions for 100 days. The tiger gave up midway, but the bear kept sight of her dream and stuck it through. As a reward, she became a beautiful, strong woman, and mother to all of Korea.
